Display and Function Shortcuts

The 27x0 has a number of ways to jump from one screen to another.  Some of these involve pressing the physical buttons on the case of the unit, while others are linked to touching visual items on the screen.  The Garmin is adding new shortcuts all the time, so many of them are not found in the unit documentation.

The following is a list of the “special” or hidden shortcuts:

·          Touching a custom map data field jumps to a related data page.

·          Touching the GPS progress icon on the main menu jumps to the GPS status screen.

·          Repeated pressing of the MAP key will jump to the Map, Turn List, and Trip Computer pages.

·          Pressing the FIND key twice implements the "Go Home" function.

·          Repeated pressing of the MENU jumps to the Main, Settings, and Tools menus.

·          Holding the SPEAK key jumps to the volume adjust page.

·          Holding of the find key opens the recent finds screen.

·          Initial WARNING screen on power up:

1. Clicking anywhere on the screen will advance to the next screen. (You don't have to click the agree button.)

2. Waiting 10 seconds, the screen will advance on its own.
