Garmin StreetPilot 27x0

Via Points:  Adding and changing stops along the way

Via Points are additional destinations that you add to your trip.  Most of the time these are between your starting point and the destination you first selected when you began your route.

The 27x0 provides the ability to build and shuffle this list of destinations, and even has the ability to auto-arrange the stops based on time and distance.

The following is a quick-reference for adding and modifying Via Points:

To add a Via Point while navigating an active route:

1. Click find, and identify the intermediate destination (Via Point).

2. When the Via Point destination is displayed (with the mini map), click the "Advanced" button.

3. Click "Insert in Current Route".

To remove a Via Point from the current route:

1. From the main menu, click tools --> My Data --> Routes --> Edit/Review routes

2. Select the first item, <Active Route>

3. You will see the mini map and a summary, with the number of destinations displayed.

4. Click edit --> Edit/Review Points --> Remove

5. The list of destinations is displayed. Click on the one(s) you want to remove from the route.

To change the order of Via Points in the current route:

1. From the main menu, click tools --> My Data --> Routes --> Edit/Review routes

2. Select the first item, <Active Route>

3. You will see the mini map and a summary, with the number of destinations displayed.

4. Click edit --> Edit/Review Points --> Re-order

5. Click on a Via Point that you would like to move to another place in the list.

6. Click "Move Up" or "Move Down" one or more times to change the position of the selected Via Point.
