This masterclass gives you an amazing inside on how to get started as a Dj/producer. Armin is also really good in explaining mixing and mastering!

This has been an amazing Class to dive into. There's a lot more than just EDM-Trance-music focus, and Armin's studio practices are endlessly invaluable! I'll be re-watching this several times for sure! Very highly recommended for anyone looking to be involved in music, but especially anyone wanting to get their hands into the music studio mastering and production process. 5 Stars!!!!!

I haven't thought about how a club mix track is made, specifically referring to the arrangement of the mix. Definitely a great technique to add in a 4/4 beat and give about 10 seconds or so for DJ's to slide it into the playlist during a set. I always want to get to the point with music, but arranging seems to help hold you accountable to making smart decisions and allowing your mix to breathe. Learned a few useful tricks from this ITS session!

Arranging may be the most interesting part since it is probably the biggest differentiator between producers. He's got great bass lines, simple yet effective and great use of effects.

Interesting. Usually do more of the percussive stuff at the beginning for my mixing.

I'm having a hard time with Risers, Armin said at the end of the video he made one but can't recall where in the video he made one unless it was off screen and it wasn't heavily emphasized later

I was wondering, how does Armin exports from the laptop to the other computer? Or is it the same computer but with like two simultaneous users ? Is this even possible?

Khalegh N.

I know what the reason is.It is : They have direct audio from the computer to the recording device for this video that we see. Unfortunately Armin or Bunno or any body who is the operator of the recording hasn't paid attention and hasn't turned off the audio signal from Armin and bunno's mikes or they couldn't cause then they couldn't comment on it. So I think Armin and Bunno should have paid attention and should have turned speakers off while commenting because It is a fact that you will cancel the signal with to wave forms causing phase shifting.

Hi., The Comment I made on Lesson 17 was in fact relevant to Lesson 18.In just this case I got the two lessons mixed up.I have found that in Both lesson 18 and This one (17) I have been able to Link up what Armin is saying, with what is he is showing on the Logic device.

Props to everyone making it this deep in the course! So many comments in the first few videos and so few now!

Also just love how well Armin and Benno work together. Great chemistry from these two.

Fantastic insight into two masters. Wished you'd shown the key commands for some of the editing functions such as when Benno snaps the hi hat MIDI to the grid with one stroke.
