GET YOUR TRACK ON A MAU5TRAP ALBUM

After hearing some of the work coming out of his MasterClass, Joel decided he wanted to give his students a shot to be heard around the world. He wants to pick the best student-produced track he can find and feature it on his label’s upcoming volume of We Are Friends.

The Competition

Send in your original track. If Joel and mau5trap like your sound, you could land the opening spot on the upcoming volume of We Are Friends.

Submissions are open to anyone enrolled in deadmau5’s MasterClass. The competition is designed to help you develop your skills as an electronic music producer and put the lessons from his MasterClass to use. The submission period opens August 29, 2017 at 9:00 am PST. Submissions close September 26, 2017 at 11:59 pm PST.

The Class

In his MasterClass, deadmau5 teaches his approach to melodies, mixing, and mastering to make unique sounds you can’t find in a cookie cutter sample pack. Through detailed exercises and 23 video lessons, you’ll learn how to create your own music without dropping millions on gear. This course, which is tailored to your own journey, will help you design, produce, and refine your original track.
