MasterClass Grants FAQ
What are the qualifications for the MasterClass grant program?
MasterClass Grants provides donations of MasterClass annual memberships to accredited charitable organizations serving communities in need at no cost to the organization. All recipients of the MasterClass annual membership grants must be 18 years or older, unless they have parent/guardian supervision. Due to the size of our team, we only accept applications in the English language.
How do I apply to the MasterClass grant program?
Please visit our social impact page here and scroll down to either our Year 1 Grant application if you are new to our program or Renewal application if you have previously received a grant from MasterClass.
How do I check on the status of my grant application?
MasterClass reviews grants on an ongoing basis and grantees will be alerted of their status within 4 weeks of an application submission. If you do not receive word about your grant application after 4 weeks of when you applied, please reach out to social-impact@masterclass.com for a status update.
My organization has been accepted into your grant program! How do I activate my grant account?
Once you have been approved for a grant, you should receive an email with a link to activate your account. This link will direct you to a Login Screen where your email will be prefilled, and then you should enter the password you would like to use for accessing your account.
I am an admin and activated my grant license account, how do I add users to my community?
After creating your account and onboarding into MasterClass, you will see a notification in the upper right hand corner near the Menu alerting you how to invite users to your License. Click “Licenses” in the menu and you will be taken to a dash where you can invite members of your community. Click “Invite Members” and start entering the email addresses for the community members you’d like to give access to your organization’s MasterClass license.
I am an admin but would like to add an additional admin to assist with distributing memberships to my community. Can I add additional admins?
Yes! You can add as many admins as you would like. Go to your admin portal and click “Add Admin” and type in their email. Then, under “Select Admin Role” select one of the three admin options that best suit your needs.
My grant license expired, can I reapply?
Absolutely, we love continuing our partnerships! You can apply for another one-year Grant via our Social Impact Program Renewal Application.
What happens if I don’t distribute the grant memberships within 30 days?
Once your grant begins, the expiration date is fixed and applies to the entire grant, regardless of when a member is added or confirms receipt. To maximize the value of the memberships for all members, we recommend distributing them as quickly as possible after the grant starts.
What if someone from my community leaves, can I give their membership to someone else?
Yes! If a member leaves, simply find their membership and remove them. This will free up a membership to then go to someone else – that new individual will have access to MasterClass until the license expiration date.
How can I promote my MasterClass grant?
We encourage you to promote your MasterClass Grant internally for adoption and engagement by your community. Below are messaging guidelines, approved images, logos and assets and instructions on how to redeem the membership:

Unless provided with written approval, materials are only to be used to reach internal audiences who are eligible to receive the gifted Annual Memberships from your organization.
If your organization would like to promote the MasterClass grant externally or on your social channels, please reach out to our Social Impact Team for approval.

My application was not accepted, can I reapply at a later date?
If your organization’s application is denied, it means it did not meet the eligibility criteria to receive a grant. Please note eligibility is determined based on several factors. If your circumstances change, you may reapply 12 months after your original application date.
