I think some of the basic components to becoming a great tennis player is to have a tremendous amount of focus and desire, and a lot of commitment because being the best or just being great at anything, you have to really be committed to do it, and you have to be willing to put the work into doing it. You're just not going to wake up one day and be the best in the world. That's not going to happen across the board in whatever you choose, but particularly in tennis, you're going to have to work really hard. Hi, I'm Serena Williams, and welcome to my MasterClass. When you're taking this class, I hope you're able to get a better game from your forehand to your backhand to your mental game to even your serve. If you're ever confused, don't forget you can always check out the workbook. Make sure you work very hard, make sure you do all the exercises, and have fun. Remember that you're only going to do great and be great if enjoy what you're doing. I really hope everyone that is taking this class this is able to learn that tennis is a fun sport if you can try to be the best at it, but also it's a great opportunity to learn a lot about life. You can learn how to fight. You can learn how to never give up. You can learn how to always want to be better in life, and tennis has definitely taught me those lessons. I would like to thank all my students for taking my master class. I hope it helps you to be able to be the best tennis player that you can be. [MUSIC PLAYING]

Could use more nuts and bolts and drill but otherwise loved it!

This class was so wonderful that I could not only learn a lot of perfect techniques with the best player of all times, but now I also know how Serena thinks the game. That is unique. That is fantastic.

Serena’s class was a true lesson in greatness. Her singleminded focus and what it takes to be a champion is so impressive.

Now I will try the open stand, watch the ball and just have the next point in mind. It's that easy :-)

Super excited to be learning from the G.O.A.T.!!!! I am totally new to tennis (two lessons in) and am pumped to learn all I can!

OK hope the second lesson is much deeper. I took some lessons a few years back and wish to get back in the game on a more permanent basis and hope Serina can get me back on track

I've played tennis for nearly my entire life, and have really fallen in love with the game and everything it has taught me over the years. Unfortunately, I haven't consistently played in a handful of years. I'm really excited to get back into the sport I love, and to learn from one of the best!

I am so excited to take this Master Class. I have had the opportunity to take The Bollettieri Method! I am interested to see how Miss Serena expands on Mr. Bollettieri's coaching. Such an honor to learn from the best.

Serena, Thank you for doing these lessons. I agree that tennis and life can mirror each other.

So excited about this class. Was a gift for my 48th birthday. I love Serena's commitment to her sport but also to life and family. She inspires me to be a great mom and a great tennis player.

I learned from Fred Perry's assistant at age 9 and 10. Things have changed a bit. I like Serena's style. This is my second go around here.

Super exited about this class - I LOOOOOOOOVE playing and this inspired to be the best player I can to show everyone that it is never too late to try something you are passionate about! I am in my 40's and just started taking classes about a year ago - my goal is to beat a 30 year old !!!! 💪🏻 Will practice practice until I can : )
