Ive been trying to cook tuna for years and always fail,I thought my tuna is a bad quality tuna. until today using his way it was beautiful. I replace the cucumber with sweet poatato roast.

Any idea what GR would recommend as a sub for cilantro? I'm one of those who thinks it tastes like soap!

My husband doesn't like sushi, or fish that is medium rare...but I wanted to make this dish. He absolutely loved it! He said that the tuna did not taste fishy, and it was so tender. He didn't even notice that it was rare in the center. He also doesn't get along with cucumbers, but is able to handle pickles, so I pulled another fast one over him. The dish was a success! Loved all of the flavors and this is definitely a dish that would impress company.

I am a novice cook and I followed the video and the workbook as closely as I could. I could NOT get the sesame seeds to stick to the tuna. Does anyone have any tips or insights as to what I did wrong? Please help :)


I've made a variation of this dish, but so happy to get the trick of coating it with egg white and basting while cooking. Will make all the difference.
